HACHESED LOCATIONS

BEER SHEBA
HACHESED paid for the kitchen equipment and hot-lunch program for 150 needy children at Ganei Chomesh. Rabbi Kalman Druk the director of Ganei Chomesh partners with HACHESED to bring joy and nutrition to these children.

BEITAR ILLIT
HACHESED supports the organization Madanei Shabbat, headed by Rabbi Yitzchak Rosenthal.
They distribute chicken and fish to over 100 families monthly, including those that live in Gush Etzion and Bat Ayin. Over the last three years HACHESED has contributed several hundred thousand dollars to Madanei Shabbat.

BNEI BRAK
HACHESED sponsored the building of the kitchen at Yeshiva-Ketana Chabad, directed by Rabbi Shlomo Rosenberg. With over 150 students, the yeshiva serves three hot meals daily. With a budget of over a million dollars a year, Rabbi Rosenberg called on HACHESED to help him. In particular, he needed a new commercial kitchen to adequately provide for his students. HACHESED came through with a $50,000 donation.

ELAD
Rabbi Mendy Chamami director of a Chabad kindergarten and day school in Elad, relies on HACHESED to sponsor their lunch program. Elad, a relatively new Jewish community, is a “suburb” of Bnei Brak, however, many services available in Bnei Brak are not offered in Elad. HACHESED was asked for assistance and responded in the affirmative.

JERUSALEM
• Center City – Rabbi Shmuel Ehrentrau, our representative in Jerusalem, works with teens-at-risk and needy families, both local and from abroad. He constantly looks for ways to keep them healthy and happy – he turned to HACHESED for financial assistance, and HACHESED pays for programs to rehabilitate these wayward teens. Additionally, many of these young people come from broken homes where poverty is common. HACHESED provides food and other physical needs. They also provide monthly food packages to local Jerusalem needy people.

• Nvei Yaacov – Rabbi Yehuda Shemesh, the principal of the Rav Pe’elim School in Jerusalem’s Nvei Yaacov suburb, turned to HACHESED when they needed a new washer and dryer for the dormitory. HACHESED – the organization that in addition to providing food and clothing, provides household appliances as well – funded this and other school appliances.

RECHOVOT
HACHESED provides financial assistance to Chasdei Moshe, an organization to help Yemenite immigrants in Israel. Rabbi Moshe Harir dedicates himself to help these often forgotten groups of Jews. Yeminite Jews, who have different customs than Ashkenazi Jews, often find it difficult to be “accepted” by the Israeli culture. HACHESED works with Rabbi Harir to provide financial help to these Jews.

TIBERIUS
The Rambam School in Tiberius accepts children with minimal tuition payment ability. The administrator, Rabbi Yehoshua Teib, personally cares for each child. His wife, Chana who teaches the kindergarten children, bestows her warm and loving character on the beautiful young boys and girls. HACHESED funds the monthly hot lunches.
